QU lights up the Parco della Gora.
A new luminous look with the lighting contribution of QU.
Parco della Gora has recently been restored to the community with a new luminous appearance, thanks to the expertise of Light Company. In the past, the lack of adequate lighting significantly limited the park’s use during nighttime hours. Today, strategic lighting not only enhances safety but also creates a new interaction between the water and vegetation, generating an intimate atmosphere that feels timeless.
The lighting concept envisioned by Fulvio Baldeschi for this project plays a strong and evocative role, featuring organic light that blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature, mimicking the effect of moonlight and bestowing the place with a profound visual appeal.
To achieve the desired atmosphere, a versatile lighting system was chosen, capable of mimicking the passage of sunlight through the tree canopies with its soft yet precise light, recreating the dance of leaves moved by the wind through shadows even at night.
This is thanks to the lighting contribution of QU, an emerging Italian company in the lighting sector that designs, produces and markets its own standard and custom products.
The Rocchetto Maxi projectors, custom-designed for this installation and discreetly hidden among the tree branches, lend the park a powerful visual impact. By illuminating the ground, they create striking shadows of the surrounding vegetation that, with the movement of the wind, seem to dance in a natural choreography.
The ROCCHETTO series is a broad and diverse category of wall and ceiling spots ideal for spotlighting indoor and outdoor spaces. The variety of perspectives makes it perfect for recreating different settings. The luminaire can be rotated 360° along the vertical axis and 90° along the horizontal axis.
For the Parco della Gora project, QU redesigned the attachment system of the Rocchetto Maxi projectors, transforming them into elements suspended from the branches. The fixing base has been eliminated, and specific cable glands have been introduced, making this product ideal for suspended downlight lighting, perfectly integrated into the natural environment.
The lighting body has IP66 protection and was made by CNC turning in high thermal conductivity aluminum alloy. The extremely high precision mechanical processing of the lamp body locking ring has allowed the inclusion of an anti-condensation microtechnology capable of equalizing pressure and reducing condensation, allowing air to flow freely between the inside and outside of the sealed spotlight.
This technology also offers a durable barrier to protect the electronics from contaminants and the result is greater reliability of the lamp body and safety for a longer product life.
